Isolating Top Level Parent in a Boolean

I am having an issue that I'm not sure is able to be solved, but wanted to ask the community to see.
I have a hierarchy as follows:
Top Level = Total Company
BU L1 parent = Total Company
BU L2 parent = BU L1
In a boolean line item dimensioned by BU L2, I've tried a million ways to try and get the "Total Company" box to have a TRUE and the rest be FALSE. I can't use a lookup with a formula summary method, and not seeing a way around to accomplish the goal. I can have the Total Company appear TRUE while the BU L1 children are false when the line item is dimensioned by BU L1, but I cannot figure out a way to draw this down to the BU L2 level. Any ideas?
