DCA and ALM

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if you guys have been working with dynamic cell access on models that have ALM? I am noticing that sometimes in order for a sync to go through I have to alter the formulas (usually by breaking them up into different pieces) until the sync passes. The error message tells me that DCA drivers need to be boolean formatted (which they are) but I think this is just because that's all the error knows how to tell me in that case. I haven't found a foolproof set of parameters yet to be able to say "this is the best practice for DCA formulas with ALM" but I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences like this.

Thanks!!

    Hi Taryn

I have been experiencing this a lot in a project I'm currently working on. Our cleanest process is whenever you create a new line item which is used as a DCA driver:-

    1. Add line item with logic but dont use this line item as a DCA driver

    2. Create revision tag and sync

    3. Use new line item as DCA driver where needed

    4. Create another revision tag and sync

I raised this with Anaplan support and they said they have a fix in the Anaplan code but not realeased it yet. So hopefully it will be released soon

    Kind Regards
