Finding the Perfect Image for Your Event Page

When creating your event page you have the option to change the default banner and thumbnail images. This article has a few resources where you can select images that better suit your event theme or region, and some helpful tips to select that perfect image.

Before Selecting Your Image Keep These 5 Tips in Mind

  1. Avoid 'busy' graphics such as patterns or multiple colors. Keep in mind the event title, date, and any additional text displays over this banner and it needs to be readable.
  2. Stick to the required image sizes & formats (JPEG & PNG only)
    • Banner - 2560px x 650px
    • Thumbnail - 1080px x 1080px
  3. Avoid text or logos on your banner image, as they may disappear with alternate window views. Bevy is an interactive site which means depending on the users computer settings, the text or logo may not appear. To keep it clean, if you want to display a logo we recommend doing this as the thumbnail image.
  4. Since the banner text is white, use darker images to make it pop and avoid white or light colors. For example, if you want a city skyline, use a night photo verses daytime.
  5. ALWAYS preview your page to see how the banner image looks before publishing.

Image Sites & Editing Tools

The following sites will help you find fun, fresh photos for your banner and thumbnail. A few of the sites allow you to edit the image, others you may have to download first and pull into an editing tool. If you need to adjust the size of the image, try pulling it into Canva. For the banner image in particular, if you can get the correct photo width, the height does not need to be exact.

When in doubt you can always ask the Anaplan Groups Team. Send specific image requests to groups@anaplan.com and be sure to be as detailed as possible. Tell us the image you are looking for, size (banner or thumbnail), and when you need it by. All requests must have a minimum of a 48 hour lead time.
