Hi All,

 

Quick recap of yesterday's Anaplan Group we hosted for Pac NW and Bay Area Enterprise customers.

 

First the numbers:

53 RSVPs

38 Attendees 

20 Companies represented

32 Stayed till the end

25 Stayed overtime

~72% attendance rate -- according to a couple of marketing sites found on the interweb 45-54% is the average range for virtual events.

 

3 Speakers

Scheduled for 90 minutes (we went over by 10 minutes)

Suggestions & Tips:

Go with only 2 speakers.  

Shorten to 1 hr!  We lose people after an hour, too big of a time commitment for a virtual event.

Prep Speakers to engage with the audience.  Ask questions or pause after each slide.

Use the chat and emoticons to increase engagement.  Reach out privately to say hi to everyone you know (ask other BPs to do the same).

Use polls and/or quizzes to increase interactivity and engagement.

We hosted our event on Thursday -- I've heard from marketers that Thursdays or Tuesdays are the best days.

Also, we scheduled from 1130-1p most of it over lunch to avoid consuming too much of people's normal work calendars.
