Getting auth token while accessing the Anaplan with SSO login in Python

We have configured SSO for authentication in Anaplan using SAML2.0 AAD.
We need to authenticate using API V2.0, but the basic authentication end point errors out and does not return an auth token which is required in all subsequent api calls to get  any other objects in Anaplan (ex: Workspaces, exports etc)

We also tried a friendly URL

https://us1a.app.anaplan.com/auth/api/1/sso/connections

with body {userEmail: user@company.com}  but it returned only the SAMLAAD as response

Can you please help us,Is there any api end point or method, which can redirect the SAML AAD and return an auth token.
