Editing an Excel file in Google Sheets can disable Anaplan Excel Add-in Connections.

This item has been identified as an outstanding known issue. A workaround is provided until the issue is officially fixed.

Issue: 
If an Excel file with an Anaplan Add-in connection is stored in Google Drive, it can be downloaded without issue. However if that file is opened and edited in Google Sheets, when it is next downloaded, the Excel file will no longer recognise the Anaplan connections in the Add-in. 

 

Workaround: 
Google Drive will allow you to download older versions of the file. If you download a version from before the edit was made, the Anaplan connections will still work. 

 

To do this, right click on the file, press ' Manage Versions' and download the last version before the file was edited.
