Monthly rolling/updating calendar/time ranges

Hi All,

 

I am seeking for help in tweaking the calendar set up to meet the specific requirement with the minimum sizing effect for one of the supply chain projects.

 

The current calendar snapshot is attached for reference.

 

As per snapshot, we have a current year + 1 future year.

 

Planning is based on multiple ongoing projects timeline which may vary from 2 weeks to approx 50 weeks as well. so the problem is few projects' timelines fall between 2 years like from Dec 2021 to Oct 2022 so in that case, when we reach April 2022 and change a current year from FY21 to FY22 it will lose the data of ongoing project for Dec 2021 to March 2021 time period.

 

A preferred solution is definitely adding one past year in the calendar or taking help of time ranges, but in that case because of multiple week-level planning line items (which is required for full project time scale for few optimization calculation purposes) it is shooting up the size beyond limits. (Yearly/monthly/quarterly summary level is not important for planning)

 

Really appreciate your helps or suggestion on this so that somehow we can achieve a monthly rolling time scale instead of yearly rollover with the tweaking few setups or any other way to achieve the same without significant impact on size.
