community_leaders.jpgCommunities thrive when members with high levels of passion, knowledge, experience, or some combination of all three step up to be a leader among their fellow members. Here on the Anaplan Community, we have a variety of Community Leaders who have chosen to share their time to create resources and experiences that help other members receive greater value in their use of Anaplan.

In this article, you'll discover the different types of leaders hard at work in the Anaplan Community. Some may be familiar to you; others may serve behind the scenes, the unsung heroes who help build and sustain the Community from within.

Master Anaplanners

The Master Anaplanner Certification is the highest technical certification level in the Anaplan ecosystem. Certified Master Anaplanners evangelize the Anaplan platform to achieve Connected Planning. They are thought leaders who combine industry knowledge with technical expertise to lead business transformations.

You've likely seen Certified Master Anaplanners eagerly promoting best practices and sharing their insights throughout the Community, presenting at events, and leading discussions in Groups. Master Anaplanners are designated throughout the Community by a trophy icon next to their user name.

Community Bosses

Community Bosses are recognized annually as top advocates who have demonstrated their expertise in driving knowledge sharing in Community. These Community influencers offer a voice and frequently share their expertise and best practices. Historically, Bosses have been limited to a select group of 25 individuals. Bosses are designated by a shield icon next to their user names.

Group Leaders

Anaplan Group Leaders help create engaging spaces for their peers to connect, both online and offline, in the Community and through events. Group Leaders may not be Anaplan experts, but they are passionate enthusiasts. Whether within a specific city or region, industry or line of business, or other area of interest, Group Leaders help ensure members are able to connect with peers to discuss their unique situations.

Center of Excellence Leaders

A Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader plays a critical role in driving transformation and acting as a visionary leader. In addition to managing a CoE’s operations and prioritizations, they go beyond by building cross-functional relationships to champion the value of Anaplan. They cultivate a culture of Connected Planning and lead their CoE by defining and effectively executing the technical and talent roadmaps.

What's exciting to see is that not every type of Leader is an Anaplan expert; many are just Anaplan users looking to grow and inviting others to join them on that journey.

Customer Advocates

The Anaplan Customer Advocacy program is a great way for Anaplan users to promote the planning and operational success that their organization has achieved, establish themselves as a industry thought leaders, learn from peers, and build their professional networks. Together with Anaplan's customer marketing team, Customer Advocates explore opportunities to share their stories by speaking at events or by producing case studies, talking with the media and analysts, attending exclusive engagements with like-minded industry peers and Anaplan executives, and more—the goal is to align the advocacy activities that fit with each person's interests and availability.

As we recently announced, we're making some updates to our Leadership programs to make it easier for Community members who wish to do so to participate and advance. We want all members to have the opportunity to grow not only in their experience with Anaplan, but as leaders among their peers.

We hope you'll stay tuned and let us know what you think! What would you like to see as we update our Community Leadership programs? Please share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback directly with the Community team in the Community Advancement Group, and watch for regular Q&A events where you can learn more.
