Context Selector De-Syncing

I've come across this bug quite frequently recently where the context sync will disconnect from the grid and no longer display the appropriate hierarchy.
How I've been able to recreate the bug is by alternating clicks between two children in the same hierarchy. By alternating the selections 4 times the context hierarchy will do the following:
Click 1. Change context to match selection
Click 2. Grid will expand the context to include another parent.
Click 3. Grid will expand the context to include all items in the hierarchy
Click 4. Will default to the first hierarchy even if it is not relevant to the selection (context).

I've included screenshots of the above in the PDF. Hopefully there's a solution.
