How to set up your cards' Context Selectors for AM365 users [PAGE BUILDERS]

UX cards saved as templates behave in a different way in AM365 whether they are inserted as data in native grids in Excel or as images in PowerPoint or Word.

If you are a Page Builder and you are creating a card that will be used either as a:

 

Card inserted as an image 📊

  • Start creating your card from View Designer in the UX
  • Apply your transformation (pivot, show/hide, filter)
  • Decide which dimensions will be selectable from end users in AM365
    • If you want to allow your end users to apply a different selection in those dimensions while using AM365, then deselect it from Anaplan UX:Selectable.png 
      • If you want to block your end users from applying a different selection in those dimensions while using AM365, then sync it with Anaplan UX:

  • Dimensions in rows and columns currently can't be selected. Once the Show/Hide feature will be released then it will be possible to select the list items to display in rows or columns.

 

Card inserted as data 🔢

  • Start creating your card from View Designer in the UX
  • Select a default view or a saved view when creating your card: remember cards created from a custom view cannot be inserted as data in Excel ">⚠️
  • Decide which dimensions will be selectable from End Users in AM365
    • Dimensions in rows and columns currently can't be selected. Once the Show/Hide feature will be released then it will be possible to select the list items to display in rows or columns.
    • Dimensions in Context Selectors are always selectable from end users
