AMP(up) Manager Training - Developmental Coaching Strategies Webinar and Hand-outs

Most of your team members have completed the Hogan Self-Awareness Workbook and submitted their top 3-5 personal developmental goals through the online form. You should have received an email with a copy of their goals and a developmental coaching form to help guide your support of their work. [Sample Coaching Report]
Managers play a critical role in the professional development trajectories of their team members. Employees who believe their managers provide professional development opportunities and support are likely to be happier, work harder, and stay longer with their current employer. [1] As part of the AMP(up) manager training program, the following 30-minute webinar offers some strategies and best practices for effective developmental coaching. We cover the following topics:
- Use of open-ended questions to understand your employee's goal prioritization
- How to help reframe goals to make them positive, specific, measurable, realistic, and actionable
- Learn about how the "gift" goal framework [2] is more likely to succeed than a "should" goal
- How to incorporate your team member's Hogan results so his/her goals will feel more resonant
