Unlike many planning tools, Anaplan currently doesn't have the functionality to visualize task progress versus today's date in GANTT chart style. 

It is possible to create a Timeline Chart which can be used for Gantt chart style visualization, but you can't add vertical lines which indicates the current date or offset other time indicators.

 

Because pictures say more than a thousand words, I added an example in attachment to clarify.
