Jonathan Etkin to the rescue
In this week’s Employee Spotlight, we are meeting Jonathan Etkin, Customer Success Director for the New York Metro and Tri State (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) area pods. Working out of Danbury, Connecticut, Jonathan has only been at Anaplan four months, but he is already feeling right at home, especially with the recent launch of the Formula A approach. He explains, “Formula A is the way I’ve always worked because it just makes so much sense. With Sales, Customer Success and the Village working together in one pod, we are able to set appropriate expectations from the beginning, prevent challenges from becoming emergencies, and ensure the customer has everything they need to be successful.”
When Jonathan isn’t working on Formula A, he dives into volunteering with his wife Cheryl at her favorite local charities: Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) and Candlewood Valley Regional Land Trust, an open space preservation committee. Jonathan and his wife have adopted four cats and one dog from the DAWS organization, who are all rescues from various kill shelters around the country. As soon as Spring starts to make an apparition, Jonathan, Cheryl and Daisy, their 16-year-old Shepherd mix, hike the local trails of the greater Danbury/New Fairfield, CT area and Orange County, NY (“The other OC!” he laughs). Hiking, paddle boarding, yoga, golfing—there is no shortage of activities on the East Coast, and although Jonathan loves it, he admits that the winters can be long.
In his few short months at Anaplan, Jonathan is very pleased to witness the level of investment the company has made in people and culture. Last November, it was his turn to wear the beautiful orange lanyard the Anaplan Global Onboarding team hands out to all the new hires, and he was blown away by his two-day experience. “I thought the onboarding process was amazing. Anaplan GO is definitely a big investment of human and financial resources, but it’s entirely worth it as it really puts us in the ranks of a world-class organization.”
Jonathan is already fond of his colleagues and would like to extend his gratitude to everyone he’s been working with. “Special thanks to my team for making me feel so welcome, and for going above and beyond to make sure I have all the tools I need to start this new chapter of my life at Anaplan!”
