Dashboard-by-Dashboard Selective Access to List Hierarchy

In some cases, the administrator needs to provide access to the same list at different levels of the hierarchy. When it comes to Sales Rep rankings, we need to be able to display all levels of the hierarchy so that all members are displayed; however, in another dashboard that contains the same list, I want to restrict the access so that the RVP can only access the reps that report to him/her. While being able to adjust the level of access to the hierarchy for each list contained on each dashboard would be useful, I can understand that doing so might not be feasible from a development perspective. A suggestion might be to provide an override action to fully unlock all list hierarchies for a particular dash.
