BLUF: Different users require minor variations to dashboards - due to the complex structure of the underlying data sometimes it would be beneficial to compartmentalise simple elements of the dashboard so they are only linked to whatever visual elements are displayed.

 

E.g.

  • Recently we have been asked to provide an update to the Board - in a specific format.
  • The underlying data is available, but unfortunately the dashboarding feature will not allow us add simple calculations between the summarised headings.
  • It would be great to be able to compartmentalise which elements of a dashboard are linked to the underlying data, and which are just driven from the information visually displayed on the dashboard. To include simple difference calculations - in % or $ terms without altering the underlying module or creating an additional module.
