Sales Forecasting only valid combination sales rep - customer - product

Hi all,

 

I want to make a dashboard with only product-customer combinations for which a certain sales rep sells units. In case the sales rep does not, it shouldn't be shown. How can I tackle this issue?

    I think that you should create a numbered list that contains the valid combinations of Sales rep - Customer - Product, given in the table of actual sales. In order to do that, you need to do a separate hierarchy 1) Sales Team - 2) Sales Rep - 3) Customer - 4) Product. That would allow you to add the same Customers to different Reps and the same Products to Different Customers. Each Rep-Customer-Product combination would then be uniquely identified by a different code (in this case CodeOfRep_CodeOfCustomer_CodeOfProduct). I hope that helps!

    Hi

    I've edited this reply as I've been advised the solution should have these combinations as a numbered list in order to make the module more dense ( sparsity management ). Initially I didn't do this initially !

    As suggested I did this in the HUB off the actual data so it contained the current combinations Rep-Cust-Prod, made a huge saving in model size but limited the flexibility of slicing data in views.

     

    Good exercise though.
