Senior Sales Operations Analyst -- Anaplan
Overview
Akamai is currently seeking a Senior Sales Operations Analystt to join our growing Central Sales Operations team. The Central Sales Ops team is a cross-divisional business operations function that operationalizes business architecture through design, definition, and governance of policies, process and tools necessary to support our global go-to-market teams.
As a Senior Sales Operations Analyst for the Anaplan platform you will collaborate with divisional sales operations teams and other key stakeholders to understand business and planning requirements and develop data models, dashboards and workflows to support critical business processes. You will serve as a subject matter expert, enabling Anaplan users effectively leverage the tool to drive business efficiencies. The role will report to the Director of Central Sales Operations.
The ideal candidate is an expert level modeler with the ability to write complex formulas in Excel or other business modeling technologies and troubleshoot complex planning models with minimum 2 years of experience with multi-dimensional systems such as Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects, TM1 or BPC.
Responsibilities
• Work with key stakeholder groups to identify planning and operational business requirements, functional and process design (including scenario design, workflow mapping), prototyping and testing on the Anaplan platform
• Modify existing data models in Anaplan in order to incorporate new functionality to support changing business needs
• Partner with cross functional teams to understand existing excel models and translate them into efficiently built Anaplan models
• Participate in data integrations and migration solutions
• Assist in testing of Anaplan models and functionality in a controlled environment
• Assist in creating documentation related to Anaplan functionality and processes
• Enable business users and team members by creating and delivering training
• Serve as the functional business-side expert on the annual planning process as it relates to Anaplan
• Serve as a subject matter expert for questions related to Anaplan functionality and capabilities
• Aid in the tactical execution of a variety of Operational initiatives
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Operations, MIS, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in sales operations or systems administration
• Minimum 2+ years of practical experience as an Anaplan model builder or relevant experience using other EPM technologies
Required Skills
• Technically sound, systems savvy with advanced skills in Excel modeling
• Data modelling and database design, from conceptualization to database optimization
• Expertise in financial planning tools, sales performance management tools
• Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and work within a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey information effectively to both business partners and members across the entire operations and GTM communities
Desired Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a "Self-starter" personality with the ability to self-motivate and be resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
• Certified Anaplan experience at Sr. Modeler level of Modeler level
• Statistical modeling (e.g. time series, regression, ARIMA, etc.) knowledge preferred
• Working knowledge of SQL DDL and DML a plus
• SME in planning and modelling in supply chain, finance or sales
• Strong footing in systems development, including system development life cycle, requirements, design, and test techniques
• Strong work ethic and a history of meeting tight deadlines
• Task-oriented drive to investigate and dissect information with a strong focus on quality
• Strong sense of integrity and accountability
• Able to work cross-functionally and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Able to work easily as part of a team and independently to achieve group and individual goals
• Prepared to listen to others and have a strong sense of customer service
• Flexible, self-motivated, curious and willing to continually develop in order to solve problems and drive results
