Page builders can add tooltips to their cards.

A tooltip is a message that displays when a user hovers their cursor over an icon or element on a screen. Tooltips on cards are displayed by hovering over the blue 'i' icon.

This is useful for giving users navigational advice, or information to contextualize their data. For example, you could explain the relationship between the cards on a page.tooltip_config.png

To add a tooltip to a card:

  1. Open the page in designer mode.

  2. On the card, click the pencil icon in the top-right.

  3. The Card designer dialog displays.

  4. Under Description, enter your text. Avoid icons, emojis, and special characters in titles, as they may render inconsistently across borders, and make text unreadable.

  5. Click Update.

  6. Click Publish.
