When configuring a custom view on a grid card, you can show or hide time, or line items on rows and columns.

Use these options to ensure that users see only the data they need to perform their roles.
For example, a marketing specialist might prefer to see demographic information, rather than projected sales.

You can't show or hide items on a model view. Model views are designed for you by your model builder.

To show or hide time, or line items on rows and columns:

  1. On a worksheet in designer mode, click Configure under the Additional insights section of the Insights panel.
If cards have already been added to the worksheet, the Configure button isn't displayed. In this case, click the Additional insights cog icon.
The Cards panel displays on the right-hand side of the screen.
  2. In the Cards panel, double-click the grid tile, or drag it into the Additional insights panel.
  3. On the grid card, click Configure grid.
  4. Choose Custom Views > the view you want to edit.
  5. Click the eye icon on the upper-right of the Select main grid dialog.
  6. Click Line Items or Time, depending on which dimension you want to show or hide items on.
  7. Select the boxes for the Items you want to display. Any items you leave deselected won't be displayed. You can also click Select All, if you want to display all items. This is useful if you want to change a prior configuration in which you've shown some items and hidden others.
  8. Click Apply Show.
The grid will update with your changes.
You can click Reset to reverse these changes.
Remember that if you now pivot your data, the grid will revert to its original configuration.
  9. Click Next > Add > Publish.
