Failed to locate import source when remapping source model and renaming source object

This item has been identified as an outstanding known issue.   

Issue

A model-to-model import fails with the following error (depending on what the source object was):

"Failed to locate module <module name>"
"Failed to locate saved view <view name>"
"Failed to locate list <list name>"

This occurs when the source model of an import has been copied, the import in the target model has been remapped to this model copy (using Source Models), and then the source object in the model copy has been renamed.

Workaround

To workaround this issue:

  • Navigate to 'Manage Import Data Sources'
  • Select the import source and remap it to the new source model.

Note: If the model in question is in deployed mode (i.e. it is a production model), these changes will need to be made in the dev. model, and then synced to the prod. model.
