Automatic Email Notification and Printing

Hi All,

 

Has there been updates with regard having an "automatically triggered " email notification that allows having to assign email notification to send out automatically after executing a process or action within Anaplan? Also, if someone can share with us how to handle printing requests from users within Anaplan apart from the traditional ways of export to either excel or pdf and having it printed outside Anaplan.

Thanks guys for the information. We are also using the same technique leveraging on both Anaplan Connect and informatica to pull data from Anaplan and push it somewher (SQL in our case) where we do custom stored procedure to create our email body with all the necessary information and is using schedulers (native) to push out these email notification. I was just hoping that Anaplan would be able to find a way to atleast :

 

1. Incorporate the MAIL TO function to a process button or action so that it will reduce the "clicks" that users would do whenever they need to send out emails. This way it would also save time to facilitate the triggers of such emails.

2. On the printing, yes agreed that Anaplan was not intended to do printing - which again in our case was able to do so by coming up with an external program whereby using Anaplan Connect to pull data from Anaplan and have it stored to an external program which triggers the printer in a manner acceptable to users ( this are normall report formatted printed outputs, either for approval or attachments to a financial report).

3. We were hoping that printing - as the case maybe can be considered as part of the probably function similar to export that will output the way data is presented in our dashboards. This way it would be presentable to users whom would still require physical printout of documents/data coming from our Anaplan dashboards.

for my ETL processes i use boomi. Of course depending on what needs to happen i use the email and document split functionality to send email straight from there. I also have cases where I put data into the our MSSQL server and create procs as you mentioned, but that only if i needed to further enrich or create additional processes for that data.

I have a similar requirement to build an integration to Power Automate(former flow) to use the workflow capabilities of Microsoft Power Automate(MFA)
Just wondering for power Apps have you created any custom connector?
