Meeting Summary - October 2020
Thank you for joining the Partner Leadership Council meeting. When I think back to last fall, we were gathering in New York at the Stock Exchange for our inaugural meeting. We were well on our ways to hitting platinum travel status and had no qualms about sitting together inside a restaurant. While this week’s meeting looked a little different, the content and dialogue are still critical to our growth.
We hope you found the session to be insightful as we shared our outlook for the future. Anaplan has the potential to be the next big technology platform that drives digital transformation – something that became an acute problem overnight. With that, we must drive alignment to increase growth and enable scale. The next two years will bring continued focus on the following:
- Mastering the go-to-market motions across each customer segment;
- Igniting the channel by deploying new routes to market; and
- Creating a three-dimensional connected planning journey.
The two-year vision requires an evolution of our channel strategy. This extends to how we position the platform, how we measure performance, and your role in the end-to-end customer lifecycle. Here are my key takeaways on the topics we presented:
- Market positioning of ‘Anaplan+, Anaplan on, and Anaplan for’ will help us tell the Connected Planning story. Know it, understand it, and be able to articulate the benefit to your customers.
- Partner programs evolution is a natural progression of PartnerConnect. We are building upon the program to deliver a best-in-class partner experience. This includes piloting new routes to market and launching a PVS (Partner Value Score). I ask you to embrace the evolution as it will set our partnership up for long-term success.
- Driving adoption is critical to the customer experience and paves the way for expansion and renewal. This requires a skillset that stretches beyond pure model building and solution architecture. How can we get a better handle on our customers to improve adoption throughout the rest of the year?
