One of the best ways to stay connected to what our Community members are saying about a particular product or feature is to subscribe to the label being used in various discussion styles within the Community. A majority of the labels used in Community align to taxonomy and labels used in other areas of Anaplan. This document will review how to subscribe to a label and how to manage your notifications for the label subscription.

Forums

One of the most popular areas of Community, the forums is how our members ask questions or get help.

To subscribe to a label in forums:

  1. Sign in to the Community.
  2. Navigate to Forums.
  3. Select a forum(s). If you’re a product manager, click Anaplan Platform.
  4. From the Labels section, click on one of the labels.
  5. At the top of the page, a box will appear which says: Showing topics with label ___. Subscribe to this label.
  6. Click Subscribe.
    • If you are still on that page and do not wish to subscribe to that label any longer, click Unsubscribe.

Idea Exchange

Our customers, partners, and employees are always willing to provide us with useful insights and improvements for the Anaplan platform. As such, the Idea Exchange is a great tool to see what ideas they have.

To subscribe to a label in the Idea Exchange:

  1. Sign in to the Community.
  2. Navigate to Idea Exchange.
  3. From the Labels section, click on one of the labels.
  4. At the top of the page, a box will appear which says: Showing topics with label ___. Subscribe to this label.
  5. Click Subscribe.
    • If you are still on that page and do not wish to subscribe to that label any longer, click Unsubscribe.

Note: If you want to subscribe to a label used in multiple areas, you will need to subscribe to the label in each area. For example, subscribe to the Administration and Security label in forums and subscribe to the Administration and Security label in Idea Exchange.

For each message, you can:

  • Reply: Type your response in Slack and post to the community. You can reply only once to each notification. After you reply once, the Reply option disappears. You can only reply again to this thread from Slack if a new notification comes in.

Search the Community from Slack

You can perform simple community searches directly from Slack.

Note: All searches are scoped to the entire community, not to individual boards or categories.

To invoke a community search, you use slash commands, as follows:

  1. Go to the Messages section of the Khoros Communities Slack app.
  2. Type “/community search” and click or press Enter.
  3. The Search window opens:

Note:  Community Search in the Slack app returns up to 30 search results, with up to 10 results per page. It does not search Anaplan.com or help.anaplan.com.

  5. From the search results page, you can:
    • Click any result to visit that page on the community.
    • Click the username of the post’s author to open that member’s profile page.
    • Copy the community link and paste it into another Slack reply.
